One of the things I have learned most this week is on the psychology behind trends and marketing. I read The Tipping Point, and it was a fascinating book about seemingly small happenings in the world, history or business that cause huge rises in either consumerism or trends. I like how Malcolm Gladwell writes, he is a great storyteller and is masterful at connecting his points and topics to support each other to substantiate his theory. I chose this book because frankly, I have it here at home. I hadn't read it, it was lent to my son for a school project and I have always wanted to read it.
Another thing I learned this week is about creative thinking. When having to write down all of the ideas for the $100 Challenge and Big Ideas, it made me wish I had written down all of my business ideas over the years. I cannot think of how many times I have had business ideas that I now don't remember.
I also really appreciate learning about the Acton Heroes. Corey Bell is an inspiring man. I really admire business men who follow their dreams and create a successful business while balancing their home life and service to others. That, to me, is living the richest life possible.
